Los Angeles witnessed widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a thrilling seven-game World Series championship. Fans worldwide joined local residents in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a team has secured consecutive championships.

Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Turnout

Local celebrations featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.

Online footage depict countless of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, raising the Commissioner’s trophy high.

“My focus is already about the third time we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an interpreter.

The parade route ended at the stadium, where the players walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and Ice Cube cruising a Pacific blue classic car around the field.

Pre-Parade Festivities and Athlete Responses

Celebrations started prior to the procession, with Dodgers fans setting off fireworks in the streets of Downtown Los Angeles on the previous evening.

The World Series MVP, awarded the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, spoke plainly about the win.

“Losing is not an option,” Yamamoto said. “I adore this team. This city means everything to me.”

Varied Responses and City Unity

However, the team owner received a less warm reception at the celebration. Recordings from the gathering appear to show Walter taking the stage to a mix of applause and jeers, with negative shouts punctuating his address.

The World Series acted as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, fans this year demonstrated as much if not more support.

“It seems it’s nearly twice from last year,” he said. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
