Netflix Casts Perfect Actor for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Third Season
Baroque Works is set to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the real showdown isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.
Netflix announced recently that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bentham. The role has the ability to morph into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve made contact with with their main hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that figure re-envisioned as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the source material and cartoon version.
This performer joins several other fresh additions tasked with bringing Baroque Works to life, featuring leader Sir Crocodile, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
Even though Bon Clay is a major member of the group, the character won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this represents a major departure in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate further changes to the plot development.
Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the role. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
