This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense excitement within the fandom. From the gradual reveal of newcomers ahead of the game's launch, to trainers forming firm opinions on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for fans to anticipate.

Given many of the Super Forms showcasing unique appearances that highlight their traits, one idea came to mind: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly judgmental is strongly mirrored throughout this creature's whole lineage, from a always surprised expression like a Maiden when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s just like the symbol a Virgo posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a plan.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to maintain the peace, there are many Libras who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to worry more about others.

Scorpio – Super Banette

Banette is a creature with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and vowed retribution on its former owner. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a performance. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful small entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even notes how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to predict disasters ahead of time? That gives the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who often consistently think they’re right. Interestingly, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they often are.
