Former President Trump stated on Sunday that he has asked the relatives of a Guard member fatally shot last week to visit the White House.

He added that he spoke to her family and they were “deeply grieving”.

Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in critical condition.

The president stated he’s proposed a visit to the White House for the loved ones of both members of the West Virginia National Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a hard experience, arrive at the White House. We’re going to recognize her,” Trump informed reporters. “And likewise with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Mourners gathered over the past few days at the high school in the state to remember Beckstrom.

Both she and Wolfe had been serving with the military unit as part of the president’s government program to assist policing efforts in DC.

She carried herself with calm resilience, a warm expression and a optimistic attitude that encouraged those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the head of Beckstrom’s alma mater, informed the media. “She was sweet, considerate and always eager to assist people.”

Officials have accused a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with one count of murder and charges of assault with intent to kill while armed.

Sarah, from Summersville, graduated from Webster County high school in June 2023 and joined the military shortly after, working as a MP with excellence, per the West Virginia National Guard.

“She had a lot of kindness and she absolutely had courage,” the governor informed the crowd at the service. “Though her time was cut short, she has left a mark that’s going to endure.”
