Vince Zampella, Has Died in an LA Car Crash
The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in California aged 55.
His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.
The celebrated industry figure died after his automobile collided and caught fire on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
